Douglas A. Parr
Douglas A. Parr is Vice President, Dairy Sales and Marketing for Dean Foods. Based in Franklin Park, Illinois, Dean Foods is the largest fluid milk processor in the country. Dean Foods, a publicly held Fortune 500 company, is a broad-based dairy and specialty foods manufacturer with annual sales over $4 billion.
Parr received his degree in Agricultural Marketing from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Prior to Dean Foods, Parr spent five years with Borden, Inc. as Vice President, Western Division. He supervised sales and operations of the four western regions. In 1986, he came to work for Bordens through the acquisition of the Meadow Gold Dairies from Beatrice.
Before working at Borden, Parr spent 12 years with Milgram Food Stores, Inc., Kansas City, Missouri as President, Dairy Operations. Milgram was a privately owned grocery chain with three dairy operations in the Midwest.
Parr serves on the board of the Quality Chekd Dairy Products Association. He also served on the Ice Cream Marketing Council of the International Ice Cream Association.
Parr and his wife Judy live in the Chicago area. He has four children and three grandchildren.
