  Chris J. Buechle

Executive Vice President, Missouri Cattlemen's Association
Chris grew up on a ranch in the Sandhills Region of Nebraska where his family had been active in cattle and horse production, at the same homestead location, for three generations. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Chris spent ten years on the family ranch after receiving his B.S. in Agriculture.
Just prior to his January, 2002 move to MCA he was employed as an Ag Promotion Coordinator for the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. At NDA he was responsible for the promotion and marketing of beef cattle and later all classes of livestock at domestic and international levels. His work with NDA took him to many different countries and he was involved in livestock exports to Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, and Mexico.

"Missouri has a long history of leadership and a high national profile in the beef cattle industry," said Buechle. "I am honored to promote the economic, educational, political and social interests of the number two cow-calf state in the country."
